Abstract

Task-based language teaching (TBLT) is a kind of teaching method that regards tasks as the teaching carrier and encourages learners to mobilize various resources for meaning construction learning, so as to achieve the purpose of communication. This essay critically examines Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) in EFL contexts, analyzing its theoretical foundations, practical strengths, and inherent challenges. It offers targeted recommendations, including teacher training, diversified assessment, and contextual adaptation, to enhance the effectiveness and feasibility of TBLT in foreign language classrooms.
